I need some info fast!

Well iam just starting to put the finishing touches on my boat but i have a few questions before i start. I have a small radio with two speakers and i want to put a onboard charger on the boat so i can run the radio and charge the trolling motor battery. But i really don't need to charge the trolling motor battery i just really want the radio to run.(i am reading the next part straight off the system) The radio is AC-120 volts 60 HZ and 500MA\250 volts. So can i run that off the battery with a onboard charger hooked up? Thanks guys

If your radio is 120 V you can't power it from a 12 volt battery or a battery charger with a 12 volt output.

That radio would run from household 110/115/120v current. Get a 12v marine radio.

First welcome to the board.

Your radio in designed to run off of 120 volts AC like inside your house not 12 volts DC like your boats battery.
You could buy an inverter to convert 12 Volts DC to 120 Volts AC but like other have said better to just buy a radio made for the boat or at least for a Car.

One other thing it is better to title your post with a Title that tell people what your post is about.

In Stead of "I NEED INFO FAST"
Try "Installing a Radio and Need Help"
The reason is most people will skip over a post that they can not tell what it is about from the title.
Otherwise they would have to open every post to see what it is about and very few do that, there is just too many post to open them all.
Most people look down the list and see a title they know something about then think I know something about that so I will open and see if I can help.
