I need a new project

Winter seems to be picking up steam, and I'd like to find a cool motor to work on this winter. I'd like it to be something I haven't done before. I have tools to work on Johnson and Evinrude motors. Marketplace and Craiglist seems pretty slim right now locally, so I'd be willing to drive a bit to pick up one. Any suggestions on model/year to look for that would be worth picking up? I've mostly worked on 5.5/6 hp motors and the 1974-1992 9.9/15s.

Not sure anyone is going to be able to answer that. Every area has different deals and different models used. Best I can say is pick up whatever makes you happy.

Search for an older motor. Cheap and easy work on.
