I have the exact same want list. I plan on purchasing soon. My search has me looking for a newer Camaro rag top. . I am not a gear head like my pal is. He has a 65 Malibu with a 400 something chrome power plant. Every time I visit the hood is up and he is doing something to it. I can't. I can't remember how to lift the hood on my newer Silverado for Goodness sakes. I'll need to pay the "Guy" to change the oil and filter. To get into my childhood (18 yrs old) 72 TR6 in need to pay 25 to 30K. No way. I have never been a Mustang guy.

Im waiting on the gt500. If im going to live a second childhood I will go all in .Nope just checked.A nice gt mustang will save about 25to30 plus grand and still have plenty of muscle.Still it would be a hoot to drive one on the twistys where they say that 760 hp beast excels.Biggest problem with owning a super muscle car in Ontario is our stupid stunt driving laws.Just doing a burnout can cost you a fortune.Honestly I cant make up my mind, lol.Im also really interested in the new bronco.Cant wait to see one for real.

Look it up my thoughts are too political on why vw was hammered and dodge wasn't.

Just bring your muscle car down here to Toronto International Speedway in Cayuga Ontario. It's only a 2 to 3 hour drive to T.O. with good traffic which is an oxymoron when you talk about T.O. gridlock. Every Sat and Sunday there is a good car show parade going down Highway 3 with the cars coming and going from Cayuga Speedway. I refuse to call it Toronto Speedway.

We were working the July long weekend a few years ago at the track and a nice lady from Ohio asked where they can get a cab to get to the Cleveland vs. Blue Jays game. She had tickets for a 4PM game and it was 2PM. When I told her where she was she sobbed. They had been planning the weekend for over a year. I was truly sad for her. I actually tried to hook them up with a pal that has a4 seater Piper Cherokee here, he could have flown them in to Billy Bishop Airport in time for the game. It isn't cheap to hire a private plane.

they just caught VW, they didnt go after BMW, Mercedes, Ford or Fiat that were pulling the same evasive work-around testing.

Well, update. Purchased 2 cars in 4 days. Got the wife an 07 sportwagen with 20k miles. Really nice, I drove 250 miles each way. Averaged 38 mpg at 80 mph. Woot. Had been eyeing a '14 mini Cooper jcw for about a month in Atlanta. Happened to be in Atlanta for the weekend.. 55k miles, 208 hp, 2800 #. Makes my bimmer feel like a school bus. Holy crap, like a go cart is correct. I would have been happy with the 170 hp s. But an extra 40 hp? Wtf not?

I'm quite happy with my sportwagen. I'm at avg of 41 mpg and I do right at a 100 miles per day, 95% highway. The diesel is pretty peppy and the stick helps that.

Yeah, that 38 mpg is regular gas. Curious as to whether the mini really needs premium. Not sure when/if I'm going to experiment with regular

Good buys Mike. That Mini must be a blast to drive. I don't put high octane in my 4X4 Silverado regularly, but do every month or so. The StarCraft always gets the Sunoco premium. I have no idea what mileage I get with my truck, it didn't come with the thing that tells you. When it needs gas I fill the thing up, not being aware of mileage must be another thing you don't concern yourself when retired and not going to and from work every day. My wife bought herself a Kia Optima, I get 7 liters per hundred kilometers, she gets 8.7 lt/100k, someone has a heavy foot. I need to get my calculator out to translate that. I am very surprised how fun it is to drive in auto/manual 6 speed. But it has more blind spots than a Lamborghini Countash. I'm still looking for my Camaro rag top. It will be after we sell our place here, soon I hope. Good choice nola mike.

Just an FYI, dads 2009 TDI sportwagon had 345k on the clock when I sold it for the estate. The will get 1M miles with minimal maintenance
