I might have messed up???????

I was rushing to change the lower unit oil in my force 50. I pulled the shift pin out by accident but it went right back in. should I be ok because it went right back in?

Welcome to the forum,
If the lower unit fails to shift into and out of gear then you maybe looking at having to reinstall the shift linkage onto the shift pin which involves removal of the gear housing cover. If it shifts as it should...happy boating.
