I just got me a motor. 1990 Johnson 9.9

I have a 9.9 Johnson and want to put it on a 12ft semi vee John Boat. can I just swap the 20 inch lower for a 15?

Does it have a 5” spacer on it?

Easy to convert---Remove 5" spacer.----Install shorter driveshaft.-----Install shorter shift rod.----Remove 5" water tube spacer or cut 5" off water tube.
