I feel like carp again. Ugh. Headache came back.

So, after 2 full weeks I've had only one day with no headache. Fortunately, no visual symptoms so far. Still scary though. :blue: And I have another MRI scheduled for this coming weekend.

Been so busy since we got back from our road trip last weekend that I just haven't had time to do much of anything fun, including working on the boat. Don't even get me started about the weather! Went to the barber today and he said "looks like it's gonna be a long, hot winter!" :faint2:

Given the nature of the taunts above, are you sure the headaches arent frying pan related?

Visual symptoms? Ocular migraines? Best of luck getting some relief, soon.

BTW: NOW its no boat work on EITHER boat ;)

Good luck w that too

No frying pan related headaches around here! My wife loves that second boat. You're talking about the little donor bass boat with the 50HP Mercury that we're going to put on the Kingfisher, right?

I have Giant Cell Arteritis which can cause sudden permanent blindness or a stroke. :grumpy:

Treatment is with high dose Prednisone which can cause numerous very bad side effects including high blood pressure (which I now have :mad-new: but didn't before), osteoporosis (which I'm being monitored for) and diabetes which I don't have. Plenty of other side effects too and I have many of those as well. Ugh.

So my choice is to take the Prednisone or go blind or have a stroke. So I take the med. Still trying to fine tune the dosage though. Hence the headaches.

Not my only major health issue but definitely is my highest priority at the moment.

Tomorrow my young neighbor friend is supposed to come over and install the rest of the fencing around my property for me. I'll drink coffee, provide security and supervise.

And adding the fence for security is becoming more important as I work on the boat(s)! :pound:

I am familiar w the diabetic complication of high dose Prednisone use. Not me, but a family member.

Just so ya know, I'll continue to needle you about the 2nd SC til ya fess up ;)

Security around the BWR compound becomes even important as it becomes the BWR boatyard. They breed like rabbits, before the Admiral knows it, you'll have a whole brood of tinnys and donor boats.

My Admiral hosts the boat widows and Admirals dealing w an MBS sufferer's support groups on even numbered Tues and Thurs, yours has an open invitation to attend either or all meetings

Yah, I'm familiar with MBS. The pic below shows my line of thinking from some 7 years ago. Fortunately, I gave up the glassers and sold them off for a tidy profit. :D

Security... not only do I have to deal with some newly arrived 2-legged snakes, there are also wolves here! A neighbor 2 doors over raises them and they get out sometimes. Not a good thing with my 9 y.o. boy outside. I've been confronted by them a couple times myself and it is a disconcerting feeling. They've killed other dogs and other animals.

So fencing is going up! :peep:

When we lived in Las Vegas, a wolf rescuer/breeder occasionally brought wolves and wolf hybrids to the dog park.

Didnt take long for most of the others to leave.

Disconcerting to have 1 track small dogs, running kids or dogs, then stare you down, even thru a 5ft fence.

Hope the rest of the fence goes up w out a hitch today.

FYI: I hear wolves HATE pix of 2nd Starcraft boats as do most trespassers, so posting pix of the newly acquired SC might help keep them all out of the compound ;)

My buddy is outside working the fence. Told me to basically stay out of his way.

Anybody have a recommendation on how to find underground marking pins without a metal detector? Need to locate two corners.

My buddy found the underground pins. He just cleared all the brush along the property lines from my place and the place next door, found the posts on the other property, then took a sight line the full length, which gave him an easy way to search. Only took him a few minutes. Excellent.

I may have to go buy some corner posts though. He's going over to his place to see if he has any left over from other fences.

Making progress on securing the place! :)

Back in the early spring I was working on my rider mower in the back yard. Happened to look up and a big wolf 🐺 walked around the shed, stopped and stared right at me from 20' away. I slowly backed up toward the side door around the corner of the house.

The wolf trotted around the other corner. So I hustled around the corner to get to the door. And there was the wolf waiting for me!! 😐 I slowly eased into the house.

My buddy was installing the SW corner post awhile ago when one of the 2-legged snakes approached him to tell him the post was in the wrong place. Jeez. My friend showed the nimrod the surveyors underground pin but the guy still wanted to argue. So my buddy said he needed to check the post at the other end and moved away. The nimrod left then too.

My bud and his brother are both over there working now. Will be glad when the fence is finally up!

I did have to go out and buy corner posts and bracing wire earlier. Dropped those off where they belonged on the property then went back to the house and took my old retired guy afternoon nap.

Afterwards I picked up da boy from school then headed to Wally World to get a turkey and some other groceries.

While there, I bought an anti-wolf and anti-coyote device which was on sale for only $99! Woo hoo! Oh. Yes. We have coyotes in the yard sometimes. Probably more than I think because they're mostly nocturnal.

Took forever in the store though. The ice cream melted and the clerk had me just go over and swap it out for the frozen stuff. Some poor schlub is gonna have some nasty, grainy ice cream if they get those cartons!

We didn't get home till dark but I did see the main fence corner posts in place at the front of the driveway. Didn't have time to check anything else out due to failing light and falling rain. Am looking forward to seeing progress tomorrow morning!

Coyote in our yard last year.
