You wouldn’t care for it here.Any Time the Humidity goes above 30% regardless of Temp, it is Miserable
Yes I can handle cold and wind but I really need daylight.the definition of "good" is irrelevant without the existence of "bad".
that first 70+ degree day of the new year is great.
days start getting longer Dec. 22.![]()
Yeah combine it with an 83 mile commute each way and 20 miles on snow covered roads to get to the freeway...the thrill is gone. That's the worst. 6 months of the year I watch the sun rise and set at work. Contrary to popular belief... that really does weigh on you mentally if you realize it or not.
That's a lot of Wasted Time that you will NEVER recover. I grumble about a 15 minute Commute.Yeah combine it with an 83 mile commute each way and 20 miles on snow covered roads to get to the freeway...the thrill is gone.
Quality of life end of the day, I get to go home to the lake every day. My home at the end of a private road little to no crime makes it worth it.That's a lot of Wasted Time that you will NEVER recover. I grumble about a 15 minute Commute.
Mine isn't that bad really 83 miles 1 hour 15 minutes. I leave the house at 5:30 I unlock the doors and turn on the lights at work. I leave work at 2 pm get home and work from home e-mails and phone calls late afternoon. I don't really deal with much traffic till I get 20 or so minutes out on the freeway. There are people at work that travel less than half the distance I do and take longer to get there. I am blessed in that my vehicle and all expenses are part of my compensation. (my boss is a huge jerk though)I complain more about my 15 minute drive in the morning that takes upwards of an hour at night most days. When I was doing ~800 miles a week I spent relatively the same amount of time in the car as I do now on my 12 mile commute. Which is freaking insane.
Last visit with dad in seattle we were driving around and going to lunch. After 45 minutes I asked him how far we had gone, looked at odometer and said 'nine and half miles'.
