I decided to lay some glass and resin on the bow of my boat. It seems to have hardened but it has a tacky feel to it. I left some in the mixing cup and it got rock hard. Can I lay another layer over the tacky stuff, or do I need to remove it and start fresh.

Unwaxed resin will stay tacky on the surface and the thinner the laminate, the tackier it may feel. The heat from it curing in a mass made what was left in the cup cure more thoroughly. You can put down another layer over the first one with no issues as long as you did add the correct amount of catalyst to the first layer.

I actually don't believe it... if you had an oops! on your boat you'd have all the help you needed with it :)
