I drive and Alpha Drive compatibility

Local marina had a boat caught fire and was selling parts at a huge discount.

I found a deal on a I drive transom that identical to this one in the link

For 300 I got a inner plate and transom assembly with rams and gimbal... A Alpha drive pressure tested by a local reputable shop and prop.

Couldnt pass it up.

So will the I drive transom fit an alpha gen one or two?

Would an I and alpha drive fit the same transom?

As long as the Alpha I inner plate was for the same engine you have it should be a problem when swapping for a pre-alpha transom plate. The motor mounts is what makes the difference. There really isn't much else different about how the two units mount. Won't fit the Gen II stuff though I don't think due to the external oil resevoir.
