The parallel blades create a nozzle by compressing and directing the air flow as well as acting as a fan is the simple explanation. Not certain I can explain this application any better or if I am 100% correct.
Anyway, sure is cool and would love to pilot one day. Not sure I want to go 75mph over ice, but a lap around the bay would suffice.
