i can no longer post pics

not sure why but, I can't post pics, I uploaded a new avatar, that worked, but when I try to add a pic to a post, I click on upload and nothing:noidea:

There hasn't been any changes recently that would have caused that. I'd recommend clearing your temporary internet files and cache files.

If you are one of those guys that never shuts off the computer, do a restart. They do some strange things at times if you don't re-boot every now and then.

Thanks, I'm not sure what is wrong, I have even done a system restore:facepalm: what I can't figure out is, it's only on this site, and it will upload a new avatar, so I know it can upload pics, it just won't upload to a post, I can post links to pics I have online too, just not pics

Have you cleared your cache files through the browser itself? What Internet Browser are you using currently? I've looked at your settings and can't find any reason it's not working.

The next time you post, try doing the "Go Advanced" posting option below this quick reply. Then look at the post settings below where you can type. Then look at your attachments, see if you can insert one of your attachments into a post.

Cool - I went to the pics you linked in the "-6footitis" thread and uploaded one into PhotoBucket and then copied the "IMG Code" and pasted into the "link", the little world with a dogbone looking thing. I prefer the larger pic.



I tried the same pic from sphotos and got the following expandable thumbnail after "Copy Image" (right click over the pic) in sphoto and "Insert Image", the square box with a tree looking thing in it.



Just about everyone here recommends using PhotoBucket because it seems to work better with the forum software. Well after it's all figured out, anyway. Hope this helps.

yes I linked the pics I posted on fb and am making videos now so I can put on youtube and post those, never had a tin boat and never saw the original transom or how it was made, and pics make it nice, i'm suspecting the explorer 10 update as it coincide with the time my problem started
so also I can attach things previously uploaded,:watermelon: and also since I've had this problem, I have spell check and autocorrect that I didn't have before, maybe something changed with the browser update

i'm baffled, I can upload pics to other sites, I can upload videos to you tube, I can attach links here, I can attach previously uploaded pics, but it won't upload a pic on iboats, has to have something to do with browser settings, I don't know what to look for

That's really strange, I don't have internet explorer on my PC. I'll see if I can try it out on another computer. I'm hoping it's not a browser issue, and that we can figure out what's causing this to happen on your end.

Are you able to see the pop up window with the attachments in it?

yes, i get all the way to, the box the says upload, then I click on it it flashes in response then the little circle spins like its thinking and nothing just keeps thinking

ok my diagnostic says i'm missing a driver, I can't fix i'm fed up with trying to and I guess I wont be posting pics:blue: the thing is, I can upload a pic to use as an avatar, maybe if I need answers to something that require a pic I will just change my avatar and say look at my avatar

You have other problems. uploading or posting a pic has nothing to do with a driver.

:joyous: i did a factory restore, don't know what was broke, but the missing driver was enough and i don't have time to be messing with my pc, i have boats to work on though in my haste i deleted the pic i wanted to post:twitch:
