I bought a 175 Doral Spirit

I'm new to owning a '86 175 Spirit and was wondering what are things to look out for as far repairs needed.
It has a build-in fuel tank but not being used be the P.O. the motor was running on a removable plastic tank. what would be the best way to clean out for use?

Pull the inspection cover, pull the sender and visually inspect. Then go from there
