Here’s a few facts regarding climate change. The one constant concerning climate change is that it is constantly changing. Has been in constant change for hundreds of millions of years and actually longer. There have been periods when global average temps have been much warmer and much cooler/colder. Man has not been present for 99.99999% of all the climate changes in history.
What ended the prior ice ages ? (Which are too numerous to count), answer - global warming. And prior global warming periods were ended by global cooling. Man was not present for any of this.
What are some of the things that affect climate change ? Number one is the sun and sun activity. A few more include the axis of the earth , the wobble of the earth, the orbit of the earth, the oceans and many many more. Most we do not fully understand and cannot predict. There is scientific evidence that we have had periods of much lower CO2 than today and yet higher temperatures . Also periods of much colder temps with concurrent higher CO2 than the current period.
If climate science was settled science there would be only 1 climate change model instead of the dozens that we currently have.
There is currently some scientific evidence that climate changes causes CO2 levels to rise and fall and not that CO2 causes climate change.
Climate change is an incredibly complex phenomenon which we are far from understanding. The one thing we know for a fact the climate will continue to change, it will have periods of warming and periods of cooling For the eternity of earth. Ain’t a darn thing man can do about it other than to adapt.

I am taking the 86th amendment. I have not spent a summer in N J during the last 21 years. Been on the Saint Lawrence River in Clayton, N Y. Love the place and people. :):)

The only thing I can think of for a Category 5 storm. A concrete room on the GROUND. Higher than any flooding area. With no trees or buildings within 300'. And a steel vertical door on a wall. With neighbors and Rescue Squads knowing you may be buried inside of it. And will need help to get out. Steel barred fresh air openings in diagonal corners to allow breathing. Drinking water for days and 5 gallon pails WITH lids and rolls of toilet paper.
Good luck would still be needed.
Concrete is needed to prevent building movement at 300 mph wind. A tie down chain over the building attached to buried steel stakes is needed for a direct hit.

Roscoe, with all due respect, but Lake Michigan does not have the arctic and antarctic melt off flow into it. Also the water in Lake Michigan streams out of it toward the lower lakes and finally the Ocean.
On the other hand, the oceans are the final destination of water and there is no down stream from there.
You really cannot compare what happens in Lake Michigan to what happens in the Oceans and build an argument on that base.

Wrong! Do a little research (leaving out your bias) and you’ll find what I stated is factual, no personal interpretation, no personal opinions. Possibly the last sentence may be open to debate by some.

No bias no more then anyone else here voicing what they are seeing and reading. Anyone can find all the facts needed to fit what they believe, same as religion

In Jan 1902 Scott arrived in Antarctica and setup a command. There is a small structure there (Scott's Hut) he used, which contained seal meat which had stayed frozen for more then 100 years. In 1976 I went to Antarctica. Ice was just under 8 feet thick and we (USCG) lead ships in for resupply during summer months. We would walk from our ship several hundred yards across the ice to the station.

In 2011 there was no ice on the water and even the shore was dirt and rock. All the seal meal had to be disposed of. I have pics and might try to find them.

I believe in global warming you don't and that's ok

I think you misunderstood me. I’m not simmered up. I to know there is global warming (I don’t just believe it I know it). But the earth has experienced numerous warming and cooling periods over untold millions of years.
