Also Another question. When the boat sits on the trailer at the back it is tied up to the trailer by the strap. What should be the capacity of the strap? I am not sure if the one I have is sufficient.

The straps should be at least as think as a seat belt...better if even bigger.

As Oz I am joining the Starcraft club and I too am very excited about it.
I bought a 16' starcraft today and can't wait to pick it up tonight.
Will post pictures tomorrow. I've enjoyed reading everybodys posts and comments.

Oz I wanted to post this page from the '78 brochure for you since it shows what the SS and Holiday look like all done up with orange. Granted the orange SS is an I/O but you can use your imagination.

I think they look pretty sweet and you don't see many orange boats out there.

HA, thanks man for the amazing work on brochures. I looked through them before suggesting orange .
I was considering metallic orange. It should really shine on the sunlight.

Hey Oz, great find and welcome after your long search. I can hardly wait to take mine for the maiden voyage only 5 more sleeps. I got the chance to go out with my brother in his new to him 18'SS on the weekend. What a sweet boat and 40mph with 3 big guys in it.

Dozer, they are sweet boats. I am jelaous, since for me it is not 5 nights..... have to get the motor running - it is missing the spark. For now I am waiting for the manual which should come in 1-3 weeks from Amazon.
