I am at the end on my rope with trying to install my throttle and gear selection linkage at motor.

I tried looking up my exact motor on that web site crowley marine and it doesnt have canadain models.

got it....hoping it could lead to something you can investigate further...
I'm surprised at the multiple differences in and between the 1989 25 and 20 hp motors with the linkage ......
but, I wouldn't think merc used different cables.....

Hi all, I guess you are right the configuration is different!
Here's the thing, the parts aren't avail. anymore and I thought what I did would work, wrong. How depressing! I have been looking for a 2 cyl. short shaft with controls 20 or 25 hp for 10 years, with no luck! I have a homemade boat and I can't go with a 4 cyl. as it too heavy. My boat will only handle 105 lbs or less.
I should have checked into it further.....damn.
