Re: I almost lost my boat!
Not sure about Hostage but I wish mine involved barley pop. Me and boat storage the last couple years haven't worked so well. But I can tell you exactly how easy this happens. I wouldn't have admitted it but I didn't want Hostage to feel all alone.
To get the price I needed on my new office lease they bumped up the move in date, so the boat had to go immediately. Called my father in law who had a spot reserved and turns out he "didn't have room", again. Long story.... but we're done, passive aggression is his moa. I called around from craigslist and a guy offered me a great deal but he was going hunting that afternoon and I had to be their immediately. He was in an area I wasn't familiar with but I loaded up the boat, dropped it off and put the address in my wallet (mistake # 3 or 4, it hasn't been seen since.) After that I had to build out the office, move, fire my billing service, and somewhere in the middle my house flooded. The boat had been the last thing on my mind until a couple weeks ago.
I'm sure I'll either find the person's address or they'll call me. I was the last one in and with my couple and swing tongue locked they'll need to get in touch with me eventually. So my boat isn't really lost but if I had to pick it up tomorrow I couldn't. So this goes in the stuff happens file I guess.
