I have a chance to buy a 1988 hydro sport bass boat. It's in pretty good shape.My question is the section you walk on (not fishing decks) is 100% foam. Did this come from the factory like this.

No.

Where is the sole? (floor, deck)
Should be either wood or fiberglass, with carpet over the top.

Doesn't sound like it is in good shape at all.
