hydraulic steering maintenance links

Have an 1983 Johnson with the hydraulic steering connector,. Was wondering if anyone could please direct me to info opn how to disassemble, clean , and lubricate it properly
thanks. I remember doing a mercury 25 years aro that had seized up and there was quite a bit of digging involved to find the right info

maybe it's not even hydraulic, It has a tube that slides inside of another tube but i think a cable operates it ? It is the standard setup for most runabouts, the system that came in after the cable "clothes line" affair.
