This is my first major rebuild project, Someone let the boat sit full of water for a long time and it has rotten the main stringers, among other things. It was deceptive when we purchased it because it wasnt soft at all from the top. We removed the tank to inspect the tank and the area around it and found all of this. My major question is if I can gain access to the length of the stringers, can I just scab onto them and glass that in? Should I cut out the interior side of glass and remove all wood and start from there? I am trying to avoid uncapping the hull.
Seems resasonable but I dont want it to fail in the near future. I have some fiberglass experience but in a completely different field, I own a car audio store and we do some fiberglass. Does anyone have experience with this hull?
