In the last two month I have been hybrid fishing after the bass bite slows and man are my arms tired. I though these suckers were going to break my cheapo rod:)

Those are nice sized hybrids. They sure do slam a bait for sure!

Thanks, local lake here in SW Oklahoma. I'm still looking to break the lake record of 8 LB

Re: Hybrid heaven, November and 75 degrees

Here's why I ask, Sigma.

My #3 daughter and her family live in Iowa Park, TX, just across the border from SW OK. She is an avid fisher and could tow her Boston Whaler up there pretty quickly.

I would love to give her a clue to some great fall fishing.

If you want to avoid creating a jam, PM me. :)

What are those hybrids of?? Look like barely legal stripers to me.

They are often called Wipers, skeetr.

White Bass/Striped Bass hybrid, bite like white bass and fight like stripers.

We have wipers here in Utah, they are far and away my favorite fish to catch at the moment. They can seriously slam a lure! Good eating too!

Nice fish man. I have never really fished for them much and just recently got a boat. What are some good lures for them? Shad imitations or what?

Bait for hybrids, slabs and shad and an occasional pet spoon trolled. It all depends on the time of year. Sure do miss those big boys. I actually think they fight better than stripers but thats just my opinion.

With hybrids, there usually isn't a second tug, only one big one that takes your rod down and doesn't come up. LOL
