Sounds like it will hit land as a Cat 4 and maybe 5. We're on the western edge. Talking 20-40 winds with gusts of 50.

A lot of people from Florida head that way and Baldwin county where we're at. Some were coming into the campground.Still supposed to be a Cat 1 over land for awhile. It's heading towards GA!

Im watching live video from Panama City and the wind gusts are amazing... i believe they said its the strongest hurricane to hit the US since 2004. Stronger than Katrina... 3rd strongest to ever hit the US.

What caught my eye is the vehicles aren't being turned on their side like a tornado would do.... I forget 'Nados have higher wind speeds...

Made landfall 2mph below a Cat 5, 153mph.

Cats and dogs, but not a whiff of wind. Really strange that 2" in 6 hours and no wind at all. Some tornado warnings to the south, but so far clear here. Of course we have flood warnings along the rivers and other usual places and we are safe from that.......................unless I see the Ark!

Hoping and praying that all of you down there will make it though safely. Glad I live in Michigan. Great boating opportunities but no hurricanes. Yeah, we may only have a 7 month season, that comes with the territory.
