I just recently bought a wellcraft excel with a humminbird WIDE 3D VIEW, I believe 98 model. When I returned the next day I found that the wide 3d views glass has little clowds in the glass. MY question is can it be fixed ? ?.
Put the unit in a nylon stocking and tie off the stocking. Then place it in a plastic bag with a cup or two of uncooked rice. Seal the bag well and wait a few days. Placing it in the sun will speed up the process. The rice absorbs the moisture, the stocking keeps the rice out of the unit.
commander this is high five with the 3d view. I have tried the rice for 3days with no results. It looks like the outer glass is crystallized on the inside of the outer glass but yet the outer glass it smooth. is it possible a gas exploded inside the unit to cause this and can the outer glass ever be replaced.
