Re: Hull support when cutting out stringers?
Mine had six stringers, and I cut them all out in addition to removing the upper deck. I left my boat on the roller trailer. I was worried about flex, warping, hooking, and bowing so I carefully monitored the hull when glassing in the new stringers. I glassed them in one a day, so that they would be cured for when I glassed in the next stringer.I also started with the outermost stringers, and worked my way in, side to side. I developed no problems, in fact the hull was more true when complete due to the hook the hull had taken by having all the weight of watersoaked rot resting on the rollers. It was a few months between when I gutted it to when I glassed the new structure, so the hull was able to go back to its original "memory".

In your case, you only have two stringers to worry about. Just do the work and make sure you pay attention to the hull bottom, even if you are just sighting along the bottom. You still have the upper deck on, so that will keep its width correct and it shouldn't twist. Good luck...
