Hull ID #

Hey all, I’m trying to figure out the Hull ID number on an old 1970’ish Nautaline Houseboat. The placard in the engine compartment ((see attached) is pretty beat up. I can do a rubbing of it and probably get the numbers in the lower left hand corner, but I won’t know what they are associated with (ie which one is the hull ID). Any other tricks or resources for figuring this out? Thanks!

Pencil and tissue paper, go over the letters, they should show up.

If the boat was manufactured prior to 1972 it may not have a hull ID number

The tag pictured appears to be for engine/driveline info

Ends up it was written on the registration. doi. I stopped in at the DMV and they showed me which number it was. Would that also be written/stamped somewhere on the boat theoretically?

Probably on that plate...before it was obliterated. Probably to the left of you engine or drive numbers. Looks like there's a "12" to the left...happen to match what the DMV pointed out to you?
