I have been a lurker on iboats for years.. but a new (to me) boat has forced me to make an account..

I just bought a 1973 16' Starcraft, Project that is 90% complete. To end out my collection of water toys..

Well howdy, Pantharen. You have to come over to the Starcraft forum and show off your tinny. Of course you can show it here too. Welcome!

Welcome to iboats. I noticed you are from Comox. I grew up there. Dad was in the Air Force there, then we were transferred to Edmonton in '84.

I'm sure it's changed lots since I was there. Used to live on Noel ave. then moved to the base housing. Went to Airort Elementary then on to Robb road just before we moved. Had lots of good times there.

It has gotten a lot bigger... I grew up in Parksville through the 80's.. YQQ is still the 2nd largest Airbase in Canada, behind Trenton Ont. and Cold Lake is behind us :p

welcome from the northend of our island

I love the Port McNeil/Port Hardy/Port Alice areas. First time I saw an Elk was between Hard & McNeil. I have some awesome pics of 2 baby black bears on the side of the Alice Hwy, with momma down in the ditch behind them..

Sorry guys, no pictures of the boat (yet). I only picked her up on Sunday, and I work off the Rock in West Vancouver BC.. Fitting, I'm a Security Guard at a Marina in Howe Sound.

I really need to get a good picture of the StarCraft Nova logo, so I can have new ones made. I am going to repaint the boat, clean it up so it looks better..

Welcome from, let's say, the French part of Canada!

And just be aware that the Starmada is kind of a sect; but it's not their fault, these guys doesn't know better!

(jealousy driven comment which is valid until I find a nice Islander to restore!)

most of my toys l8ly have come out of Victoria ;-). My 1990 GMC Tracker 4x4, I paid $500 for came out of Saanich :) , when it is all said & done, We'll have put maybe another $500 into her, and I'll put it on Craigslist with 2 tops (sport & reg) for alot more then $1000.
