I got a 120 hp force its on a 1992 bayliner/cobra bass boat how do I tell the year of motor?

You need to find the id plate and post the model/serial number.

Look inside the engine near the carbs for a little plate. It will give the model number of the engine. You can then search Mercruiser's site, I believe, to match up the code and the year. Or you can just ask here and someone will tell you.
