Hey guys chasing some electrical gremlins out of my motor. I have been wondering, how do I tell if this motor is a quick-start model or not? I think in '95 they made both versions. Evinrude 130 E130TXAOR

So, I think I figured it out. I looked up the powerpack part number, cross referenced it to CDI, and on the CDI site is says the powerpack for this motor IS equipped with the quick start feature.

Quickstart will cause the engine to rev to 1200 RPM or so, upon a cold start.

The temp switch on the port head of your motor looks to have two wires, one of which looks to be the Quickstart sensor. It is the white/black wire, and should be connected to the power pack. I would say that you will have Quickstart.

Thanks Chris, that is an easy way to tell. The temp switch definitely does have two wires coming from it. That to me means that the port motor temp switch is what disengages the quickstart upon warm-up. Thanks. As I dig further and further I am sure I will have more questions about this ignition system.
