Three inch crack in middle of late 70s tri hull. Water evident--still draining after a week. Water degradation of foam, I'm sure. Any sure way to get water out and repair crack? What product would apply to hull keel area (outside) and withstand running water pressure and trailer rollers?

I think your problems are deeper than what you can see. I would suspect that the stringers are also shot. :(

these guys are probalbly right..soaked foam..?? only time can dry..

as for the crack ,, so atleast you can use the boat this season,, take a dremel an open up the crack into a vee .. use marine-tex to fill the crack ..

then two layers of 2 inch overlap 6-7 1/2 oz cloth apllied with epoxy..

it'll cure even with 'dripping water'..

To repair that type of leak you need to start by opening the floor above it to ck the problem, it has to be repaired from the inside any way A outside repair won't fix it permantly, so grab your skill saw and cut a hole, remember that if it's repairable your gone to have to patch it on the inside and need room to work
