I am trying to get the caribbean sticker of the sides of my hull, however it is not coming off at all, i have tried a razor blade and it seems like i can only get the top clear plastic of it in very little pieces only.

these are not vinyl stickers so i dont think heat will help, but i will try this weekend.

any other tricks that ppl have used

I would try a blow drier just to get the glue loosened and then razor. If that doesn't work, they make a sticker remover for just this application. I have seen it at lowes. Can't remember the name. Nail polish remover works, so does rubbing alchohol. You will want to put that on and let it soak for a few minutes. Also can try acetone but will have to wax the area when done.

3m stripe off wheel is the ONLY way to fly..... it's like a gum eraser for your drill..... it uses a little friction to warm the decal and then crumbles it away

This is my way of getting old decals off, spread peanut butter (think you call it jelly stateside) over the area, leave overnight and then wipe off, sticker and glue will come off with ease. Dont know how it works, have been told it is something to do with the enzymes in the peanuts, but it works. Dont laugh untill you have tried it. Yes I am serious.

Jelly is what goes with your peanut butter. Unless you have chocolate with your peanut butter.

At the home improvement stores, there is that stuff called "goof-off" (IIRC), you could try some of that 'stuff'.

I would refrain from using nail polish remover (i.e. Acetone) as it dissolves gelcoat & polyester resin.

I used windex and a razor.... nothing like it and cheap to use.I removed EVERY bit of decal , pinstripe and lettering from my 20' boat pictured below in about two hours one day.

The two posters above have given you the best answer. I removed all my graphics with this wheel. Follow up with a little 3M adhesive remover or Goo Gone and it's a done deal. Effortless.

I've removed countless decals/stickers using my wheels... Its hard to imagine someone trying any other method after using one of these! Right tool for the job makes it go so much easier, and this tool is meant specifically for that.

You can usually find them at decent automotive stores, usually ones that have custom mix paint departments.

i have used zippo lighter fluid to remove stickers on glass, as well as rubbing alcohol, and real windex. (not the cheap stuff)

Acetone has been used for year on fiberglass gel coating that is fully cured. It will not dissolve gelcoating. It is perfectly safe to use. But it sounds like the wheel wins!:)

Sorry for the mistake, Jelly is our jam, come on try the Peanut butter, tell me I am wrong.
Acetone or nail polish remover will not harm cured gel coat.

jelly is made from berry juice, no seeds.

jam is made from whole berries

preserves are similar but are usually chunky in consistency

Scrap the jam and jelly.......Peanut butter is all you need, go on, give it a try!
