2004 johnson 115hp vro problems :(

I have taken it back to the dealer for the 4th time with no success. I payed to get it replaced the first time, because my warranty ran up. I fish alot of tournaments and have been stranded to fishing within trolling motor range. Does anybody know the Lemon Law on boats in Florida? Or is there some other route I can go to get this resolved? I love my Stratos boat, but will never buy or own a Johnson outboard again.

what problems are you having? where are you in Florida? did you buy it used or new?

I live in Tampa, Florida. I bought from a guy I fished with, but it was only one year old when I payed off his loan. The first time, when you got up on plain it would start to loose power. I took it to our local stratos dealer, that said it was the VRO. He replaced it and when I took it out, the no oil light came on when I was on plain. Took it back again, and he said the VRO was not pulling enough oil and he replaced it again. Got it back and went straight to the water and when on plain the no oil light came on again. Took it back for the 3rd time and he said the same thing and replaced it again. I had a tournament at Lake Talquin and when on plain it started to loose power light the first time I took it in. So it is now at the Stratos dealer for the 4th time in 5 months. It was about $700 the first time for a new VRO and has been warranty replacement on the VRO since that.

Don't think a 2004 motor has a VRO. I think it is an OMS.
When it lost power what RPM did it go down to ?? it may have been putting itself in SLOW mode.
Just my thoughts though as I know very little about motors that new.

5 VROs and one mechanic. I think I'd be suspecting the part that's still the same.
