How to remove tilt trim pin SPL 48

Cannot remove tilt trim pin (upper- motor end).<br />It has a stainless cap on the pin (right hand side of engine). <br />Does it come off? How? Engine is a SPL 48 (48 hp- twin cylinder). It is an early 90's model, also need a replacement tilt trim unit, as well as a replacement lower unit. (note: I asked this question earlier in the forum today, but neglected to identify motor year and model.)<br />Thanks, Ben

hello<br /> oxy/acetylene ,a BFH and some prayer. a cool refreshing beverage may help when ya whack your fingers trying to hit the punch. some of those motors are ungodly to knock that pin out.<br /> good luck and keep posting
