How to remove control handle to replace trim switch?

I have a 1992 quicksilver control box. The trim switch has lost its spring and I can't figure out how to get the handle off. Anyone know how to get the handle off?

It does help. The exploded view shows a set screw in the handle but I don't have one. reading father, looks like I'm gonna have to take the darn thing back apart. I just put it back on during a rebuild.
