How to remove a fuel bleeder line?

I posted a question a few days ago about fuel spurting from underneath electronic boxes. Laddies correctly diagnosed the problem: a leaking fuel bleeder line.

The line end was damaged and not even attached to the nozzle, so I want to remove it and replace it, however the other end is attached very tightly, how do I remove it safely? I tried pulling on it by hand and with pliers, it didn't budge.

Just pull harder?

If you have a heat gun or hair dryer a little heat will help. NO OPEN FLAME

Take a razor blade or sharp knife and split the hose at the nipples. They will come right off.

Pulling on hose is much like the woven reed Chinese finger cuffs, the harder you pull the tighter they get.

As pointed out, cut the hose carefully taking care not to damage the plastic fitting, using a pair of needle nose pliers PUSH the end os the hose, pushing on the end of the hose tends to swell the hose, making it slide off easier.

Re: How to remove a fuel bleeder line?

Thanks for the help guys! Now another question...

I have already ran stabilized gas through the engine (2 stroke), and fogged it, this is was BEFORE replacing the disconnected fuel bleeder line.

So my question is, the part of the engine that got fuel from this line might still have old non stabilized fuel in it, is this correct?

So should I run the engine again to get stabilized fuel to that part and then re-fog?
