Re: How to prepare to ski again?
Yeah, another vote here for a wider ski. My Dad picked one up last year and he really likes it (especially behind my boat). The only trouble is that he's use to feeling the "wood" of the ski on his feet, and this new one has "bindings" (sorta - not like a suicide ski, but the area for the back foot is on a pad instead of just on the ski), which took some adjustment.
Like everyone else said, get some exercise, but nothing trains you for hauling your *** out of the water like actually doing it. As an example, I play competitive rugby 6 months of the year, and train for 9. I went for 4 spins on my wake board yesterday and my back muscles and arms are good and stiff this morning.
