1. Gut and clean hull, including limber holes, flood and check for leaks

2. Coat all the rivets and seams with Gluvit

3. Cut and fit in as much pink or blue foam board, or as many noodles, as you can (yes there are other interesting options too)

4. Cut out new deck from Marine Grade, Arauco or Exterior Grade ply and seal it up with epoxy

5. Install deck with rivets or stainless screws and 5200 (countersunk)

6. Cover deck with Nautolex vinyl, oil based paint or DuraBak/KiwiGrip

7. Enjoy the new deck for the next 50 years (100 if you store it out of the weather).

Cheers!

Jas, I'm honored to have made it in your fine write up, but you missed another foam option:D (I know, not very popular and not very cheap)......

ya know......truth fully, the soda pop bottle is a fantastic option....if a person could just keep them from rattling around.
i would much rather do that than pool noodles. no offence to the noodle guys.......but the plastic bottles will last 100 years or more under a deck.

Al Gore tells me they last forever in a land fill.

I kinda figure if they go half that long I'll be satisfied and have gotten the return on my investment.:D
