How to flow test a 305..

305 overheats at high rpms....new impeller.....heads recently cleaned up...original manifolds/risers.......is there a good way to flow test the manifolds with a garden house to see if they are passing enough water to keep the engine cool??? heads had salt water corrosion thus the cleaning... I 'm guessing the manifolds/riser are clogged and though about how to test it..

if they look 20 years old as the boat is and has been used mainly in salt water and not flushed after each outing they could probably do with new ones.5 years is the norm.if they get a hole in they will put water into the cylinders and that will be a whole lot worse
