How to fasten seats/cushions to fiberglass

I have recently redone all of my seats/cushions due to the old ones being weathered and wood falling apart. What would be the preferred way to screw the seats, back rests, and cushions back to the fiberglass? I would run a nut and bolt but cannot get behind the other side of the fiberglass. So I assume the only thing to do is to use a coarse screw and just run it in through the seat and right into the fiberglass and have it suck it up. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.. Thank you

Pictures might help bring some suggestions. How was it fastened originally?

If your seats are already Upholstered to the wood then I would suggest using gorilla glue and 2" wide Velcro strips. This way you can remove them in the off season and store em inside.

I'm just sayin...:D

Now that is interesting.. I never would have thought of using velcro strips, hell of an idea. Not sure what the gorilla glue would be used for though, is that for keeping the velcro strips down?

Use it to glue em to the wood and the fiberglass. That stuff will stick to anything and NEVER come off. Lowe's sell the velcro

There are clip fasteners for the bolsters ( side cushions ). They kinda look like your VHF mic holder. You would drill about 1 1/4 hole in the back of the ply ( at the correct location after the clip is installed ). Push in on the bolster to the glass so the clip goes into the hole..then Push Down to lock it in place.

Alot of side cushions that are not installed with through bolts are done this way.

Bottom seats .. yup velcro ( sticky back mounted velcro ) Put the furry side on the seat. You would want to be able to remove the seats. Not a good Idea to have standing water underside for very long. so lift them up when they have gotten wet .. or for storing.

For back cushions I used alum. Z brackets on top and bottom. I just drop them in place.
