I have 94 Mariner 40 HP and the fluid in my power trim/tilt looks milky instead of clear. I removed the plastic plug where you add fluid and tried using a oil extraction pump to remove the fluid but it doesn't really remove much fluid. And, after refilling the little fluid that was removed, it was still milky after I raised and lowered the motor.
Does anyone know how to drain all the fluid and then do a complete refill? I did call Mercury Customer Support and the guy told me to turn unit upside down and drain through the refill plug area. That is a little difficult since the motor is attached to a boat!
