Hello Folks! My uncle just got me his inflatable boat. And I'm about to do some upgrades on it, like getting a hinged transom, electric motor, and some accessories for it.

The first thing that needs to be done is to repair the leaks and I want to do it all by myself. So, I'm looking for some tips. Does anyone know anything about this?

A big thank-you and Merry Christmas to you all!

Ask your uncle if he has a repair kit.

Standard inflatable boats come with an inflatable boat repair kit, containing a tool to remove the valves, some adhesive and patches that you can use to patch your inflatable boat.

My uncle recently moved to Florida and sold his property. Maybe you know where I can buy it? And when I do then how should I use it? Thank you so much for your response, Franky!! That was fast! :)))

Use this manual to learn about the best ways to maintain your inflatable boat. Especially take a look at the “Repair” section.

Thanks, man! That was better than I could have imagined! I'll check that out tonight!

Never heard about this company. Do you think I should consider buying engines from them? :))

The official dealer for top brands in boating industry. Which type of motor power do you want on your boat, an electric or a gas outboard motor?

Well, pretty sure I'll go with the Electricity. I don't plan on getting much farther than shore or diving into rougher waters so something between 4-6 HP should fit right in.

Be aware that if the top portion of the air valve is unscrewed with said removal tool, the lower part of the valve will fall inside the tube, be hard to find or sit properly inside the tube to screw back on the upper part...

Those are good instructions. I've found that two part PVC cement is better than the typical PVC cement.

One part glue that comes in a repair kit, it's only good for emergencies, doesn't hold that long, 2 part pvc glue is the way to go....
