Hi, everybody. I'm wondering if you could give a little advice on how to cap off a seacock that will no longer be in use. I'm in the water until my next haulout, so removing it entirely isn't an option for the time being.

Thank you!

Re: How to cap off seacock?

Ah, good questions. Here are photos of both the seacocks in question. I just removed the lectra sans/head, so these are the raw water intake and treated waste discharge. I'm going to a composting system, so I won't need either. Once I get the hoses off, what should I do?

Thanks!

Just get pipe plugs until you can remove them.

Plug them and leave them. Why would you want to get rid of them completely? It's not going to hurt having them there.

Thanks for the advice, guys. Will definitely leave them in place for now and maybe for good.
