Hello everyone,

First time boat owner here that just got a 1977 16.5 Bonita split widshield bowrider. The boat has been kept exceptionally well, there are no cracks in the gel coat; however it is very very faded. I have read many post on how to bring back the color it is a beautiful red/maroon but very faded. I just had the seats redone and would like the outside to match the inside. I have read wet sanding and even stuff about polishes and compounds. I need the best way but also the most foolproof way. I am handy but sometimes I get lazy and make mistakes. I want it to look nice but I need the best way to do it.

You'll need a buffer and some compound to bring back the shine. Hard work but the results are amazing. Or, you can find a company locally to do the work for you.

This will get the job done... Harbor Freight $40 bucks.
First wash it well with Tri Sodium Phosphate from Lowe's
