I have a 1974 Evinrude Triumph 70hp Model 70473M

Engine was brought up from sea level to 5500 ft in Colorado.

Seems to be running rich, how can I lean it out? I read Tashasdaddy's Top Secret post- but I wasn't clear on where/what to turn. (wasn't clear to a rookie like me anyway :))

Thanks

Your motor probably has fixed jets. If so, carbs need to be re-jetted with smaller jets suitable for where you will use the motor.

According to the carb elevation orifice chart your motor at sea level calls for a 61D, 3000-6000ft calls for 58D.
