I have made lots of great trips in the 8 years I have had mine, not nearly at the pace you are going though; but we had ice on our lakes when your season started...

My kids have grown up substantially since I got mine and this is the first year we are semi-empty nesters (one kid in college, the other spends many weekends away). My wife and I are taking advantage of that this weekend and towing the boat 3.5 hours away to Lake George for the weekend.

Living in NH, I can't imagine having a boat that is slipped. If it were in salt water, it would have to be north of Cap Cod and the swimming would suck due to the cold water, if it were in a lake (even a big one), I would feel way too limited.

large boats don't get used as much (not counting sitting on them at the pier) and trailered large boats even less, just b/c the logistics are more complicated. A small boat in the water at or close to home probably gets used the most.

^^^ Agree. I have owned or do own all types and that is spot on. I count my days sitting on them at the dock though. We stay on our boat at the marina so that's my "vacation home".

I think you did pretty well with the usage. It's tough to get a lot of full weekends in with "life".

Was thinking about taking a trip to Marietta Ohio next week. It's the 170 MM on the Ohio. I am at the 26.

Check that - banishment is probably fine.

Seriously, Thalasso if you do a run like that take pictures and make a thread out of it. I've got a few bucket list trips that I'd like to do someday and I like seeing the experience.
