looks worth every bit worth 1200 but i would be leary and check transom, deck and stringers. look at other fiberglass restores and seek out their advice on what to check out. you can bet something might need to be done to the outdrive. see how much a marine motor is to replace what's not there.

It's junk. Not a running motor (if any motor at all), obsolete outdrive, and a 25 year old hull...... The only thing "possibly" work money would be the trailer IF the tires were good and brakes worked.

If you purchased it and it found a donor motor and outdrive you would be spending a ton of money..... In mo opinion run away.

$1200.00 is too much. It will cost a bundle to get her up and going. That doesnt include any trailer issues. If the boat is 100% sound and the trailer is 100% functioning then $1200.00 may not be too much but if things are not in great shape it will be a HUGE project that money will disappear into. Good luck.

I had the same boat back in the 80's, I bought mine when it was 6 years old for the same money turn key then. I ran it for several years and sold it in favor of a larger boat. I loved the boat, mine had a Ford 351W engine, it made good power but drank a lot of gas.
I really liked the cabin layout.

That boat will cost you plenty to get back in shape, so unless your really after a project and like that boat you will most likely do better finding a complete boat elsewhere.
I'd expect that to be listed as a freebie around here. Maybe a good candidate for an outboard conversion? It would make for a room 22' boat but would still be a costly project. You would however avoid dealing with such an obsolete drive system.

Where's your sence of adventure!! The trailer is worth 500 easy, the outdrive is worth at least 500. The boat don't look to be in that bad of shape. The transom would be the killer though. I'd say if the transom is solid, offer him 500 for it. You can get a motor in running condition for 500 and start to tinker with it. All boats are money pits... just pick your poison
