$3953, so far. $2770 of it was for new interior upholstery, a new stereo head unit and a new chart plotter. Another $250 was for some new tires, lights and bearings for my trailer. The rest is for miscellaneous stuff and gear.

i spent about $200 on cleaning supplies (wax, polish, etc) and $70 on fuel but i will be adding to that tomorrow. about $50 on a carb kit and carb cleaner. tomorrow i will be buying a new rope to keep onboard for locking, etc, and a couple of LED's. oh, and about $1350 for dockage and electric at the dock

add another ~$200 yesterday on some LED strips and new ropes (anchor, locks, etc) and today about $100 in fuel. i may need a new starter battery so it might get added to this list soon

Bought a sunken 2011 cobalt 232 for 20,000$ . New engine 2000$,new EGC 840$, new rinda OBD diagnostic 700$, Duo prop rebuild 280$, New snap in carpet 300$, new coil and ignition module 110$, New travel covers 600$, bimini 600$, all new gauges 750$, all new switches 150$, 2 batteries 150$ a heck of a lot of money, but she is beautiful, and not a scratch on her. The most amazing thing is the interior looks brand new. I will post pictures when I can. Dave-R

A friend bought a new to him run about last week for $800.00 and asked me to go with him to get all the "stuff" he needed to make it safe and legal. $600.00 later he had everything he needed from PFD's to an anchor. Almost the price of the boat and trailer, if he bought the GPS Combo it would have been more than the boat. He lost it.

New tank and fuel hose/ $110.00
1 Inflatable PFD/ $145.00
3 PFD's/ $100.00
Danforth anchor and 100' of line/$85.00
Mooring lines /$35.00
Safety kit/$30.00
3 fenders/$75.00
Flashlight/$10.00
Oar/$20,00
New Bow light / $55.00
New plug/$5.00
Boating licence/$30.00
Fishing license/$30.00

Actually more than I thought, exactly $730.00 plus 13% tax and he didn't buy the $500.00 GPS combo he went in to buy. It's actually more than he paid for his barge. Welcome to boating Lenny.

I got a 92 Bayliner with a Force 125 for about $1,000 that needed work. Have spent about another $1,000 on life jackets, batteries, and other miscellaneous things to get it up and running. Still have a couple extra things to do. Spent about $300 on fuel so far.
So total at $2,300 and climbing. Not to bad I think.

Fuel approx $80
Replaced all bearings/races on trailer $38
2 new tires on trailer $165
New 8 section tow rope $30
New Michigan Wheel Prop $68 (had trade in's)
Carb rebuild kit (for winter project) $28
Engine alignment tool (winter project) $45
Registration $220
Year of Insurance $95

$769 total. I think I got everything in there. There will be more of course as my winter project includes all new bellows/gimbal bearing, etc. Also will replace plugs/wires/dist cap this winter. I buy a little each month until I have it all ready for the winter.

$2400 on the Renken. $300 to have the fuel tank cleaned and pressure tested. $400 for a tune-up. $700 for new radio, gps, fish finder. $300 for upholstery parts that I assembled myself. $70 for polish and stuff to make it pretty.

Then $45 to put 20 gallons in the tank, which I noticed was leaking into the bilge about 20 minutes after I launched, or approximately 10 minutes after the motor started knocking and smoking.

Then I spent $15 for beer into which I could cry.

Boat money I've spent this year:

new (to me) boat: $20,500
Trailer for new boat: $2,885
Temporary boat shelter in my backyard: $208
Cleaning supplies: $45
Dual battery setup (self installed) $210
Drive oil Change: $22
30 hours worth of fuel: ???????

There is probably more, but I don't keep track. If I did, it would probably make me sad. My wife enjoys it, so cost-effectiveness is achieved.

Well all I can say about how much I've spent is this - not enough to get done what I want and way more than the wife likes. Otherwise no comment

$10,000 for the season, that doesn't include the $3k for boat slip.

Transom assembly, Bennet trim actuators, starter, raw water pump, Mercruiser cool Fuel Module, Manifolds and Risers, sanded and painted oil pan and pulleys. I don't keep spreadsheets on my expenses. If I did, i'd never boat.
