I'm a loaner....
Boat motor and trailer for 200 bucks.

Paid 100 up front...then give a dollar a month for 100 months.
Only 86 left!

How come I cant fall into one of those deals. Ha Ha Ha

It ain't pretty she is not the most shiny and new, I have a lot of blood sweat and tears in her but she IS mine. Its paid for free and clear.

I once went to Bass Pro and Priced and looked at their monthly payment plan. On a new bass boat $365 per month for 120 months $43,800, cash price on the boat $21560 you have paid for the boat twice.

No Bass boat is worth double what it costs.

Owned the little GW Invader in my avitar for 20 years..Paid 60.00 dollars for it but did have to borrow the money to pay for it.Still have a couple payments to go,LOL

Own it. And the ones before it. Owned one brand new one...but I won it. Own both Mustangs. Own the travel trailer. House half paid for in two years. Had the wife's vehicle paid for...but...now we owe for her Expedition. Everything else is cash...which results in a low FICO!

Guess I own it but I reckon ya never really own anything. Even if you're not making payments on a boat yer still gonna wind up spending a bunch of money on it? For what it's worth I gotta 'bout 4K into this little pig. But I couldn't be happier.

I own everything except for 1 vehicle which I change as often as the taxman lets me. Business write off. If I could I'd write off everything but the taxman would be annoyed!

Grandpa went thru the Great Depression. Never lost his job, though, and fared very well. His philosophy was never borrow money on something you don't need, never borrow money on something that depreciates, and never get into the stock market. He died quite wealthy, so I've followed those principles.

Never bought a car on time and the only money I ever borrowed was on a mortgage. My other monthly payment is to a Credit Union, which accumulates car money AHEAD of time.

I didn't tell him this, but I DID borrow for the boat I bought in 1984. I had just cashed in a CD and was going to use the proceeds to buy the boat. But, the dealer said he could get me 12% financing on a new boat. So, I paid the minimum down payment, and reinvested the money in a CD at 14% interest. When it came due, the interest rate had dropped to 11%, so the boat loan was paid off in full early.

owned all my boats (and jet skis, and snowmobiles, etc...) ... I will never take out a loan for a toy, period!

Own it. However I know a couple guys with loans and they seem to spend more money on repairs then I do. Maybe it's because I do it all myself and they use the "warranty".

Wow lots of folks own... Own mine too( Gave the man 10 100 dollar bills).. All 3 cars are paid for.. House doesn't have a note other than those dang property taxes..

I would like a newer boat, but am afraid that it will have to be semi used... 30k just isn't in the budget for a new tub..

IDK... Fired mine up in the drive way and sat behind the wheel and went varoom varoom.(can't get on the lake..Too windy and looks like rain).. Still runs.. It's in a great boat design.. Could be worse..

BTW painted mine metallic charcoal gray... Looks pretty slick for a ol POS Cobra
