How long should it take to let newly purchased AB exterior grade plywood dry sufficiently to sucessfully administer penetrating epoxy?

The veneers must be dried before they're glued together, so unless the panel hasn't been stored properly you should be good to go immediatly.
It's that warped pressure treated crud they sell at the home centre that's usually still dripping with CCA that causes problems.

Crab Bait, what does heating up the plywood accomplish?

As plywood heats up it "out gasses"..by warming the surface before applying epoxy, the cooling will suck the epoxy into the pores. If you take cool plywood into a warm shop and epoxy while it is warming up you will get little bubbles in the epoxy.

It would depend on the thickness of the plywood. I had some 3/4" that took about a month before it was dry (cut it for a floor, so I could see how wet it was at the 2-week mark).

This was placed in my attached garage, standing on end, with 2x4's placed between for airflow.

As Paul Mior said,
It's that warped pressure treated crud they sell at the home centre

Also, AB exterior is a Fir faced product ...unless it's "Satin ply" and should have glass epoxied over it to keep it from checking.

you da man HARKER.. that's exactly the reason.. sun opens up the 'pores'.. also seems to dry off the lumberyard warehouse storage moisture..
