How is the deck connected to the stringers?

I am getting ready to remove the deck from my new project boat a 1986 Chris Craft Scorpion 210 BR. My question is what should I expect in relation to how the deck is attached to the stringers? Or is it just floating on the stringers? Trying to avoid doing any unnecessary damage.

Stringers are glassed to boat hull, the deck is screwd to the stringers and tabd to the hull.

When I pulled up the deck on my 1985 Bayliner I found it was stapled, screwed, & some type of glue. I think it's the only thing Bayliner did that was good. When I replace the deck I'm going to bed it down on the stringers & around the edges with PB & then screw it to the stringers & bulkhead in a few places just for good measure.

I am gluing and using stainless screws, and then sealing them up when I put my deck down.
