1995 Capri 2050LS Brunswick Anniversary Edition with 5.0L: just bought it 4 weeks ago. First time I had it out by myself, the water was like glass and I hit 50mph according to speedometer. Was realy impressed with that seeing that I have an old 3 wing prop. Going to change that out for a 4 wing stainlessl I think.

What are the best tips, tricks and upgrades that you all can give to increase top speed?

1992 2252 with Merc 4.3 L loaded with 4 good size adults and 4 children top speed at 28 at 5200 RPMs

2001 184 Capri w/2003 merc 115 4 stroke. 42mph by myself 40 loaded up with family and supplies all GPS. 3 Blade aluminum 16 pitch Black max.

'86 1950 Capri Bow Rider - 4 adults, 2 youths, 1 labrador retriever - 125hp Force o/b... 35mph according to GPS.

93 Bayliner 1952 cuddy classic, 3.0 liter merc, 19 P prop, Just clears 40 by speedo with five people. 5000 foot lake elevation.

1991capi bow ride 4.3 v6 23pitch 3 blade top is 46 mph but cruise speed is 40mph

47mph GPS top speed

according to the GPS fishfinder, I have had it up to 60.5mph, but that was on the trailer

just picked up a 1995 capri 1800 ls with 120 force. speedo says 45 mph with 2 guys, about 41 mph with 5 guys. really want to find out what the true mph is on gps before i slap a 150 hp...

2000 Bayliner 1850 CS 4.3 Carb (190HP)

Top speed measured with GPS: 50.2 MPH.

Attached are the results of a mini prop test I ran using an older 14-?" x 21" Mirage Plus 3-blade stainless without hub vents (thus the "older" designation) and a 13?" x 23" High Five 5-blade stainless with medium-sized hub vents. Both props were cupped and in near perfect condition. The short answer is the 3-blade outperformed the 5-blade across the board. The pitot speedometer is a few miles per hour gratuitous at that speed, reading about 55, thus not a valid source of measurement. Particulars like weather conditions, fuel load, etc. are contained in the attachment.

1995 2050ss with 355 cu in Chevy..........low 50's (gps) with 2 to 3 people and 19p stainless.

85 Capri 1900 125 Force 19p with 6 teen-to-adult at 4300 ft. 35 MPH, 5700 ft. 32 MPH by GPS.
