How do you remove bulb from dry launch lights

I have a 97 continental trailer with dry launch lights. There the circular ones with the compartment on the bottom with the black lift tab. I've tried lifting and pulling the tab but nothing happens. I just got the trailer and I need to change a bulb. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and what the correct way to get to the bulb would be?

A picture would sure help identify them, their so many different types, and some are sealed and you replace the whole thing . In your case I suspect that is the type you have. If it doesn't have screws in the front of the lens then you may have to replace all of it.

Sorry its sideways but that's a look form under, the black tab says lift, I do but nothing happens

No idea on that one but I am sure some one will know.

Might try sticking a screwdriver blade up the gap between the black socket holder and the white housing.

Lift the tab and pull straight down the bulbs and socket are mounted on a piece of plastic that slides into a track.

That did the trick Dave thanks, rust reared its ugly head and corroded the bulb right into the socket. New light housing for me
